I am pre-installing, installing, and setting up this system for a client
Due to the nature of contract noone seems to know much about it!

The pre-installs are progressing well, as I complete about four per week
The store is then closed a few days later, for about 12 hours (typically overnight)
The data is then transferred from the old BOS system to the new BOS sytsem
New tills are also installed as part of the install
I then return about 4 to 6 weeks later and we reset the system and compare, just to make sure the transition has gone as planned

The software is by a company called GSS
The version supplied to the client is called DART GSS
Does anyone know anything about this, or what clients have other similar versions from GSS?
I know some McDonald stores have a version, as I have also used that

Clients rollout program is now well behind schedule (for a such a large retailer!)

The demonstration to Managers was between April and May
A final session test was completed in June, but even then there were still some glitches and problems, these were apparently resolved in July
Training started in July
Pre-installations commenced in July, the first store installations commenced thereafter
Installation was due to be completed by end of October

It's now November and there are still at least 60 stores I know of to be pre-installed

Post-installations are a different matter!
The three teams processing those are doing three or four a week
However, during the first ten they only managed to complete three!

I completed my first one last week
There was still a large amount of data loss (about 20%)
The process also needs to be completed by 16:00 (although that's to make sure we don't miss the daily upload)
However, mine was completed at 16:15 and just as the printouts were processed the daily upload occured, so not much room!

One down, about one hundred to go!
