Hi,
I am planning on opening a Retail Shop in the beginning of November 2008 for Wedding Supplies and General Décor. I have problems to find a local Shop Fitter to give me an idea price wise for shelving i.e.

Hope you can help me.

I would be very surprised if you are able to find one locally!
However, where are you in the UK?

I'd start here :
http://www.shopfitters.org/pages/memberlist.asp

I'd recommend you shortlist at least three
Once you have done this, contact them and ask for at least two jobs they have completed within the last year and one they completed more than 12 months ago

However, remember that shopfitters are an amalgamation of trades
You may find it cheaper to purchase the fittings and employ the trades yourself, although you would need to manage the project!

Also most shopfitteres are aimed at convencience stores, and not fashion stores
I would therefore suggest before you do this, visit some local fashion stores and compare
I think you will find that the actual number of fixtures and fittings are very low, and most have been installed on their own!
