Hi. I am the founder & director of a new start up business based in the north east of England.

We have an exclusive worldwide License from 20th Century Fox for our unique sculptures based on characters from The Simpsons. This is a unique concept & product range developed from scratch, blending cartoon culture; African sculpture; Licensed memorabilia and ethical trade.

We are looking to expand our routes to market and are seeking introductions to to any retailers who would be interested in stocking our products. We offer excellent, unique products, produced under a banner of ethical trade. We have featured in many areas of the media CNN, BBC, Reuters, etc.

I need to have a proper look at your site, but (and I'm possibly being a little thick) what are the scupltures carved out of? They do look interesting!

I would be very careful in this market
WB (Warner Brothers) stores closed their operation in the Uk a few years ago, and Disney closed about 40% around the same time

This is a very specialist market, so it might be an idea to look at making this available as a concession to the major retailers

Hi retailword, the Simpsons statues featured on our website are carved from Kisii soapstone. We produce about 2/3's in white stone which gives a uniform feel to the range for customers wanting a full set.

A third of our output is produced in a variety of colours, using rocks with natural patterns and colours within the stone. The patterened statues have a bespoke feel to them and are often specifically requested by customers wanting something totally unique.

We plan/hope to introduce new lines carved in various stone materials in 2009. We're working with a supplier in India to develop statues carved in white marble, red marble, alabaster etc. Also we've had introductions to a number of other animation & film Licensors to discuss developing statues for their properties.

m8internet, a contract to supply a major retail chain would be perfect for us. Feedback on our websales has been great and we feel we are in good shape now to scale up. We have a good contact to supply a chain in the US (pending new packaging approvals) and are now looking to research routes to market here in the UK.
