Website performance

I don't normally post messages like this, but this forum has been getting slower and slower over the last few days
I first noticed it at about the end of July, the end of last week was quite bad, but it has slowly got worse

It is now taking between 30 and 60 seconds for the main index page to fully load, and subsequent pages between 60 and 180 seconds

I've not noticed a speed issue, but I'll have a look at the logs and see what the issue is. Certainly that sort of time is not acceptable.

I know server response can vary by ISP, and I let it go for the first few days
However compared to other forums I use, I can definitely now confirm it is this website and not my connection
showthread.php is probably the worst offender!

Ok, I'll have a look a this as soon as I can. I was on here for a while last night and the pages loaded up pretty much immediately.

What browser are you using? And what speed braodband? Just ehn I can try to replicater what you're seeing.

This forum is slowing down again, it's been getting progressively worse over the last 7 days

Hi m8,

Not been on for a few days I'm afraid. It seems fine at the moment, but I'll see if anything is causing it - nothing has changed at our end (to my knowledge, anyway!).
