Hi
Does anyone outsource their HR, if so could you make any recommendations on who I should use?
We currently have 20 employees and dealing with personel issues is starting to take up all of my time

However, if you do out source this, then make sure the contract is really tight and you have insurance for this
My preferred option is to employ someone part-time with flexible hours, such as either two days a week for four hours each time or one day a week for eight hours
Employees can then raise any issues at those times
With 20 employees though there shouldn't be any major issues regarding HR
All you really need to cover are :
Contract of employment
Shift and holiday arrangements
Employee records
Or have I missed something?
Thanks for getting back to me. All employees are full time, but I guess really i'm after someone to look after all of the sick leave, personel problems and help with disciplinary procedures etc. I'm happy with the payroll side of things, we have all of the contracts sorted, its just the 'human side' which is taking all my time. Perhaps I need a 'councelor' type service which I can pay for and direct them to, rather than try and take it all on myself :)

Perhaps you misunderstood, I wasn't referring to your employees being part-time, it was your HR assistant
Could you PM me with some examples of these "Human Resources" issues that your employees seem to be piling you up with
With 20 full-time employees there really shouldn't be any major issues, so it sounds to me like we are missing a part of the puzzle

I work within HR and I also am the shop floor manager of a large store. I work full time and manage to do both roles so you could employ someone who is full time, but split their duties.

I own a small business, and I am beginning to wonder how this is going to work out for me at the pace we are growing. Payroll is generally the option that is usually most easy to take care of as there are many options. However, I think that at some point outsourcing has to be discussed. Paycor Detroit (http://www.paycor.com/detroit) can offer solutions when this time arises. As our businesses grow, there is less time to handle HR, payroll, and other administrative tasks. This is the natural evolution of a business. For me, I know that selling more business is better for me in the long run!
