FACTS

*There are some scripts that do work, such as, Category Base Removal Plugin for Wordpress, Total SEO Plugin and similar. Most of these "working" scripts are avaialbe free of charge.

*There are other scripts that do not work at all but actually harm your sites relationship with google.

These are usually paid scripts offered on other websites independent websites. You can recognise these scripts which have the tag "Too Good to be true" attached all over it. Some of them are content generators, number 1 ranking on SE's overnight and similar.

why don't you try it now.

cheers

That says it all, if page one listings was a simple as running an automated script then there would be no SEO service industry :D

It is all scripts if you think about it. SEO exists because of competition, in the best light it helps to make sites more usable, but ultimately it tends to pit those who don't use SEO against those that do.

No one really knows the rules, so most of the elements are about common sense, and you could write a script to achieve that common sense.

But, people do enjoy belonging and maybe that is where SEO eventually ends up, it is about community, if you have some information of interest people are more likely to want to just naturally link to you. If you can engage people then they are more likely to link with you.

So it will be a long time before scripts replace SEO, and SEO itself has a path to follow - really it is online marketing.

We have spent a fair amount of time recently looking at different SEO options, using scripts has not come up at all. Achieving high rankings on google seems to be an up hill struggle and always likely to be influenced by google changing their parameters.
