Agency Staff

I was just wondering what other people's thougts on hiring people fom agencies. It's just with the summer period coming up I need quite a few extra pairs of hands . Would this be a good way of doing it? Thoughts anyone?

I wouldn't like to have agency staff working for me. If they are working for a short length of time I think that it will be hard to push them to their full potential .

I really prefer not to but it is a handy way of getting staff when you are stuck

I have used agency staff in the past. But the staff are only as good as the agency they originate from.

Had some very good people, had some awful people too. Bear in mind of course that the cost of agency staff is greater than that of a temporary worker, as you also have to pay the agency.

Why not just recruit for summer temp jobs?

I agree with retailworld . I personally would avoid them if you can and just hire staff to cover the busy summer period.
