I haven't been to the cinema for years :s Did watch Star Trek when I was younger though.

You're right though - there haven't been any major movies I don't think. Angels and Demons hasn't had all great reviews by any means...

I havent seen Angels and Demons either - didnt really appeal to me for some reason plus a few people have said its not worth it so would rather watch it on DVD! Hehe!

I put a reply, but it must have failed!

I went to see Star Trek last Friday
I can tell how good a film is, if I go and see it a second time
However, this is sadly not such one film
I will be buying the DVD

The next film I plan to see is Terminator Salvation, hopefully bring new life to this series which nearly flopped with Terminator 3

From the trailers at Star Trek I also plan to see G I Joe Rise of Cobra; the plot looks a bit ropey (B film status), but the effects look cutting edge

I watched Terminator II as a child - frightened me rigid! Although that's more do to with the fact that I'm ridiculously squeamish...

Terminator 2 was one of the first films to have its storyline changed so that it could be seen by a wider audience

I remember seeing the original Terminator film late on BBC One when I was 17 and not long after moving in to my own place
I could never understand how it was given an 18 certificate, and it certainly wouldn't get one now (except for the three uses of sexual swear words)
Not long after, the VHS video joined my collection (as I had just turned 18 and could legally buy it)
I then read the series of books for Terminator 2 and 3

When the film came out I was deeply disappointed in Terminator 2 as there were some key scenes missing
Also in Terminator 3, there is far more insight, also details of why Sarah Conner "has" leukemia (not sure if I can post why here, it might be deemed a spoiler if you haven't read the books)

lol I loved the first two ice ages as well. wud be cool to see wotht he gang get up to with dinosaurs is it? and the sabre tooth squirrel (hahahaha) whats he going to be up to this time.

Ive seen most of the terminators. i say most, coz i only watched T3 halfway. i was put off a little. Ive seen all the star treks and the star wars ( lol serious ) and i cant wait to see the next one. G.I Joe has some killer action scenes. I will have to make a note of these tho..... ironman's been out for how long now ad i havent even seen the dvd yet :D

I agree, T3 was a disappointment, but a lot of sacrafices were made so that it was at least completed, not least that Stan Winston was only an advisor on post-production

T4 and Star Trek are due on DVD at the beginning of November

If you get Ironman on DVD, watch the film, then go the end of the credits for a small surprise

I had planned to go and see G I Joe in the cinema, but it is looking unlikely before it is pulled
I went tor the cinema the week before it was released, so saw Transformers 2 instead
It was empty with just me, excellent film, a real surprise and quite different from the first film
