Shopping centre managers call for more support from police and councils.

Shopping centre managers are calling for more support from the police and local councils to address the growing problem of anti-social behaviour, according to a survey of managers at the UK's leading shopping centres.

The research, conducted for G4S Security Services (UK), reveals that one-in-five shopping centre managers would like more help improving safety and security in the area surrounding their shopping centre.

Unfortunately shopping centres are a great source for theives, and for gangs of teenagers who have nothing better to do, other than spend their afternoon there. I think that security at the best of times is generally poor unless you go to an airport, or places with restricted public access. I think more needs to be done.
