I have been looking at this opensource solution for point of sale for CubeCart which is kassNova

http://kassanova.org/

I was wondering if anybody else is using this solution and had already developed an api for cubecart?

It is already working with virtuemart and has a planed api for magento.

Any info on this would be great :)

Haven't seen this one before - I'll have a look at the weekend.

In answer to your question, I haven't come across said API - would be great if they did it for OsCommerce too.

Welcome to the forum BTW!

Thanks for the Welcome.

I'm hoping someone will be able to come up with an API as the software itself is great :)

It's something I have dipped my toe into - just don't have the time to commit to it at the moment.

Plus the code is, well, monsterous, to say the least!

This might be useful: uniCenta oPOS (http://www.unicenta.net) or here http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/unicentaopos Web services are available too - send me an email for these - so connectivity to/from database will not be an issue for a web developer.

Important: even though uniCenta oPOS is absolutely FREE it's no lightweight. It is an extended version of Openbravo POS - they say they get over 10,000 installs per month.
