Jobs are like a jack-in-the-box these days, one minute there are jobs next news article and they are gone, its actually getting to me now, either their is a rise in UK jobs (http://www.http://www.careersandjobsuk.com/) or there is'nt!!

Yes I can understand there are different sectors we are dealing with and some are doing better than others, but its all so confusing as one day say for instance the sales sector is up and the next they say its down again or a week after that, and so it goes on and on.....well anyway here is another of those wishy washy articles which im busy reading on Reuters UK (http://uk.reuters.com/article/idUKTRE6355LH20100407)

Do you think that government can honestly get themselves out of the recession with all the debt they have incurred, and get the economy going, make sure there is job creation etc etc, Id like to here some other people opinions here cause it just feels like the wool is being pulled over our eyes in some areas?

Another question id like to pose just for interests sake is who do you think should win the elections in May?

Mellijelli you are asking questions that no one can really answer unless they can see into the future unfortunately!

I often wonder about the difference in all the articles we see each day plastered all over the place about different things happening for better or worse and wonder how much should we really buy into them? I mean there is only so much you can read about it until it all becomes boring and you start to take it all with a pinch of salt don't you think?

As for the elections that are coming up...... Don't even get me started! I eman how are you supposed to know who to vote for????? None of them are particularly appealing or stand out as the one who will be abl;e to fix everything to me - what about you?

SallyA im on your side as far as the "im getting bored with it all" part goes, its becoming like tabloid news, you dont know what to believe anymore :D anyway nothing we can really say or do to change any of it is there?

The voting im a bit boggled by it all, im not sure who should win, id just like to see someone with new and innovate thinking and ideas come in, who is able to salvage the countries economy and general state of the nation effectively, i think thats key, even it takes them 5 years to do it at least we will know they are getting it done.

I agree with you on that one Mellijelli - there is definately call for it that's for sure!

The ideal with candidate would be a person that stands for equality across all classes, can improve the economy and get the unemployment down so more people have a chance at getting jobs out there!

We were talking about all of this yesterday at one of our family birthday parties and I can say that not one person in that room could say who they were voting for this year! Its hard!

What to you do when the parties are not up to scratch, just settle for one??

Think this is everyone's problem, once you have voted for someone there is no turning back and changing ur mind

But really someone has to come in and at least try and get things going again, we cant go on like this forever.

I think you just have to take your chances and go for the party that you think will benefit you the most? Its that or not voting and i think that is not an option you know?

Yeah SallyA not voting is kinda selfish in a way, people in my experience people who dont bother to vote are the ones to complain afterward :) iv also skipped a few years here and there and iv decided it really is as they say "every vote counts".

We need some decent presidency here too and i think everyone has finally realized this now, as promises made have NOT been kept and people are suffering quite badly in the poorer communities.

Hopefully next time round there is a change for the better.

So what options do we have? Close our eyes and randomly pick who we going to vote for?

Because I definitely cannot make up my mind. None of them are capable of doing the job they are promising to do. We know and they know it. But we have no choice but to put one of them into the job and see what happens.

Weigh out all the pros and cons of each on paper the one with most pros gets the vote i guess :D what else can you do....

I agree with meli! It is very hard right now - no one stands out enough! They all just seem like a bunch of losers! But what other choice is there really?

As the years go by I get more and more tempted to run as a candidate, especially in the local elections
It would be the best £500 I would have ever spent if I didn't come last!
Even better if I get so many votes that I get the deposit back!

:) m8internet, i think you would make a good candidate, you seem to be in the know on a lot of topics covering a range of issues, why dont you give it a go and see what happens, you only live once and you never know, you might just get in and then you can put in place some changes that will only benefit your area right?

It's great having all this knowledge, but I am NOT a people person, and this is probably one of the reasons I run a business
When it comes to people I employ people to handle that
However, when I need to know something I can find the right person to speak to

I agree, give it a shot, "What's the worst that can happen?"

Yeah im sure you would have advisers and a secretary too to help you along in that area, im not really a people person myself i like keeping to myself most days and mingle only out of courtesy and not to be rude :D.

I do however have my days when i can be quite sociable, truth is some people's way of doing things and their thought patterns tend to annoy me, i communicate well in writing, when it comes to talking im quite silent

But i really think you should give it a go and see what happens.

I have to agree with Mellyjelli in this instance m8internet - you would definitely have a good chance as you always seem to know something about everything and are a wealth of knowledge on any questions etc that come up - if you lived nr me I would vote for you :D
