I am currently managing a large store, but am interested in opening up my own with my business partner. Can any one tell me how you got your business premises, and where is the best place for me to look? Ireally don't know where to start.

Managing a large store is very different to running your own store - it is a completely different ball game.

My answer would depend on the business you wanted to set up?

The same as I am now but with me totally in charge. I want to be like a respectable high street newsagents.

In a high street? In which case the first port of call would be the local council. And try not to be in the same high street as WHSmith, Woolworths, Boots, Superdrug atc other competition will be stiff! If none of the above are on the high street, ask yourself if there is actually a market?
