New job. Advise needed!!

I'm going out to run my own store!!! it's part of a cluster and I still have a manager based else where, but I will be solely responsible for the store. I am just wondering what is the best approach . To start as I mean to go on, or just break myself in gently?

I think you should start off gently. You don't want to come accross too head strong or they will be offended
