Default Retail Sales Jobs looking good?

I read an article today which made me think… I’ll explain below.

The first thing I saw was that Retail Sales have had a very good month in February compared to the same time last year, but then you have consider the reasons why this was so in order to make an accurate decision on this.

January’s Sales were down in almost all industries partly due to the bad weather and partly due to people recovering financially from Christmas! So this would have naturally bumped up figures for those in Sales jobs over this period as people would have been making up for things they didn’t get out to buy in January because of the weather and also because of financial strains we all experience in January!

According to a BBC article online and telephone Sales had the best improvement for Feb, jumping 15% compared to last years results!

Are we to believe these results though, or wait a few more months and see what March and April bring?
"Big retail jobs usually go to the candidates who prove their ability to outgrow small jobs in retail.

ello firstly i want to apologise for being away so long. Things are terribly hectic at the mo

SallyA, normally when i look at figures like that i ten to take it with a pich of salt.

I mean, Im sure a lot more people use online shopping nowdays instead of travelling to a store and at some stage, the product theyre looking for might be cheaper online, than it is in the store.

I dont know, I mean im glad the sector seems to be improving, especially online sales. People have always been scared of online transactions ( myself included ) but i feel we need to wait it out and see wot happens next.

Everything is balancing on the razors edge, so one can never be sure how long anything is going to last, its up and down all the time, all I know is here is mountains of debt laying around that needs to be cleared up first before anything can come right.

As for the online shopping thing iv never really done anything like that in the past I still prefer to go out and get my stuff myself and I guess I always will, my sister has bought online things like books and stuff you can order through the post and so on but nothing more than that, Im also not sure if I totally trust it all, am I getting old by not keeping up with the times?

I do however have internet banking that is the safest way to get things paid instead of walking around with cash into banks or having to ride around endlessly on your Saturday off to various places paying all the bills.

Tell me abt it. I dont like online shopping one bit. its just too risky.

I have internet banking as well. People in the town have been attacked for their cellphones. I wont entice them with a wallet full of money either.

Yeah thats it, saves time, petrol and its a lot safer to pay the internet banking way.

I hear in some countries you can order your groceries online, im not sure if we have something like that here in SA but again i like to brows the shelves for what i want i dont have a pre-set list to order, and its the only time i really go out after a longs days work, i also shop daily instead of monthly so it wont benefit me much
